Directing
My first directing project was directing my grandparents in a puppet show for my mom after she came home from work. Since then, I knew it was what I was made for. Below you'll find my directing work from my time at The Theatre School and beyond.

A Lie of the Mind by Sam Shepard
Ast. Director, Dir. Azar Kazemi, Raven Theatre
Over the course of three months, I assisted Azar Kazemi in this reimagining of a classic play. I saw up close what directing in a professional setting is like, and participated in the process from production meetings to open night. After opening, I led four understudy rehearsals that culminated in a public showing in March 2025.
"Muscular, gritty, blistering — they’ve all been used often to define Chicago theater. And while they might be cliche, Raven Theatre’s incendiary production of Sam Shepard’s violently intense “A Lie of the Mind” is definitely all three."- Chicago Sun Times
Cafe Cabaret
Director, The Theatre School at DePaul University
This devised piece was created with an ensemble of people who all had one thing in common: music had changed their lives. We created this cabaret with those stories, as well as surprise group performances in a black box turned eclectic cafe. I ran the lights, sound and tv while my actors told their stories that culminated in a riff off for the ages.

Prototypes New Works Festival
Managing Director, The Theatre School at DePaul University
In my year as Managing Director, I ran six pitch meetings that led to six fully realized shows. I led board and committee meetings to ensure that our team was on the same page, and delegated work throughout rehearsals into performances. This experience has taught me so much about what it means to be a producer and leader.

Ast. Director, Dir. Alex Mallory, The Theatre School at DePaul University
As an assistant director, I took notes at every rehearsal that I would share with Alex afterwards, and worked with actors 1 on 1 to discuss character. I fell in love with this play throughout its process and met so many great artists because of it.
